Swiss-born Romaldi’s multidisciplinary work is informed by personal narratives in the different locations she has lived. Her artistic process re-contextualizes systems of information, such as maps and phonebooks, or collected every-day objects and photographs to describe her sense of place and relationship with the new environments she is inhabiting. Universal themes such as migration, genealogy and identity are also expressed in intricately patterned forms.
