Durner’s artistic practice embraces the use of pigments in its many forms, including her poured enamels, a series of exquisite abstract compositions of framed and unbounded color. Durner was an artist-in residence at the Leighton Studios, Banff Centre for the Arts and has also curated many exhibitions. She has published art theory and lectured on a number of topics including the American landscape, gestural abstraction and phenomenology, conceptualism and sources, among others. Her work is in numerous private collections.
